Brera district and the Pinacoteka

Duration: approximately 4 hours

A stroll through the streets of the artistic district of Brera will take us to the churches of San Simpliciano – one of the city’s oldest churches, the Church of San Marco, where a young Mozart played the organ, and Santa Maria del Carmine and the square, where a sculpture by Igor Mitoraj is located. After a coffee break, we will visit the Brera Pinacoteca, a painting gallery primarily focusing on paintings by Italian masters. Here we will see works by Mantegna, Bellini, Bramante, and Caravaggio, the most valuable paintings in the collection, or a thematic tour. The second part of the exhibition is located in the nearby Palazzo Citterio, where temporary exhibitions are also held. At the end of the tour, you can relax with a coffee in the picturesque garden.
